Embarking on a new adventure, NurtiBullet

No this isn’t the end of the blog, if anything it’s more blog related than anything. Aside from our weaning journey, i’m on a journey of self development. Ok, that sounds pretty airy fairy.

I set up the blog a few years ago with the goal of becoming a mummy blogger which i’m certainly fulfilling but at the same time it was the opportunity for me to look into my own health and well-being an epic journey to say the least since receiving the all clear from my stomach cancer. I was lucky but it didn’t come without additional difficulties, i’ve had gastroparesis ever since I had the operation to remove the cancer. A small price to pay in the grand scheme of things. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term it means I have delayed stomach emptying. My stomach was effectively paralysed and it’s taken years of careful diets, effectively weaning myself like a baby back on to food but my diet is exceptionally restricted as things stand because I now fear food for fear of being sick and being in pain. It’s one hell of a journey.

With exercise i’ve managed to start to eat again and that has been fundamental in improving my metabolism but I struggle with vitamin deficiencies and fluctuating energy levels which is what i’m coming to. I was having a discussion with a friend the other day all about my diet the pros and cons and how I can only dream of nourishing my body and feeling fulfilled and we were discussing the NurtiBullet. I’ve always turned away from it thinking it is another one of those silly kitchen gadgets that I don’t need but after consideration, maybe this holds the key to feeding my body? A simple shake, full of nutrients, vitamins, probiotics, you name it all in a digestible format.

This could be it, combined with the right level of exercise I might be able to balance out my diet and my body. It could be revolutionary for me. I don’t know, I could be very wrong but there is only one way to find out so GastroBaby, welcome to the world of spirulina, chia seeds, wheatgrass and probiotics. We are on our way to get you…when my magic NurtiBullet arrives!!!

Wish me luck!! Feel free to share your favourite recipes, I can’t wait to try them out.
